Alongside his personal practice David works on editorial and commercial projects for the likes of The Guardian, Wired, The New York Times & TIME. He has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and The British Journal of Photography Portrait of Britain Prize.  His work has been exhibited throughout Europe including the Belfast Photography Festival, Cortona On The Move and Gallerie d’Italia, Vincenza. A number of his portraits are included in the National Portrait Gallery archive in London.
